I said that the problem is with the same server, a specific DL380 G6, on 6 slots, 9 of them on one machine and about 6 slots on another.

I’m using the HP memory listed in the comparison, part number 500656-B21.

I updated the BIOS very heavily, wrongly thinking it would work, but unfortunately it didn’t.

Out of 27 servers, 4 have this and an error, the remaining 25 are fine.

Memory initialization error 207 may well occur during the boot process and be accompanied by several loud beeps. In addition to some basic error messages, the display may also show processor memory information and typical dimming effects.

  • PC location corrupted
  • How To Fix HP Memory 207 Initialization Error?

The following steps should be taken to resolve the error and restore system functionality

    1. Turn off the host server and check if the storage space is set in the slot.
    2. If, upon inspection, you find that a broken frame has narrow slots, try replacing it with a working frame.
    3. Turn on the server after a specific memory swap and check if the memory error still occurs.
    4. If so, make sure the error shows the original bad location rendered when it now reflects the location associated with the original fade.
    5. If the error is still location dependent, it’s possible that the problem is with the processor or the card.
    6. Once you have determined that memory reduction is working properly, you should shut down the system and remove the processor.
    7. Make sure the processor is now clean and has no appearance my damage.
    8. If there is no visible damage, replace the failed processor with a new one.
    9. If you have a two-processor system, swap their processors.
    10. Turn on the system to see if the error persists.
    11. If a regular processor continues to show a fatal error, it should be replaced in a new slot.
    12. If this particular error is reflected in the original configuration, the processor slot is damaged and the system will need to install a new motherboard if it is working properly.

  • A few days ago I received an HP Gen8 dl360e at an auctioneBay affiliate network. It has 2 x E5-2450L, 32 GB (8 RAM x 4 GB), no hard drives (SFF) yet.

I check them on boot, but nothing but reset or reboot, presumably on cold boot:

207-Error initializing memory in processor socket 1 1. The operating system may not have access to all the memory installed in the system.

This repeats the socket 4 times (same CPU) followed by at least 2 beeps, then the server boots in winter, but… since then slots 1 and 2 are not normally used (according to iLO) . I think it has to do with the fact that they are in the exact channel?

  • Firmware update for each of ours (with BIOS P73 dated 08/02/2014, I believe the latest)

  • Reset all if you want to restore default settings

  • Reinstall the RAM module and take care of the DIMM slot

  • Changed the RAM stroke of another CPU, the funny thing is that the error remained the same (CPU 1 Socket 1)

  • The odd thing is that this only happens on a system reset/restart, not on a cold boot or normal power up. Although all memory is HP branded, iLosays something that it’s not HP (HPE Memory Memory = No).

In addition, the fan speed never drops below 25-26%. Is this a common occurrence for DL360e Gen8 processors? 2 The temperature in outer space is 21 degrees (70 degrees Fahrenheit at these points). I have both 460W PSUs plugged in and working, no real PCIe cards or hard drives in the main system.

Problem detected. Of the 8 RAM modules, some were available in different shades of green (image link below). So I completely removed everything that was involved, and what you know, you won’t have any more errors. When I first swapped modules between CPU 1 and 2, I swapped two of those bad ones, so our own error was still visible on CPU 1.
